Andrew Dietz has over 20 years of business development experience: conceiving, launching and leading new businesses; successfully marketing and selling intangibles and professional services and; assessing and building leadership teams within both large and emerging companies. Andrew is founder and Managing Partner of Creative Growth Group, Inc., a marketing consultancy firm that exclusively helps professional service organizations with client development strategies, skill-building tools, coaching and implementation of rainmaking initiatives. Creative Growth Group advises clients from an array of professional service disciplines from law and accounting to public relations and strategy consulting.

Prior to launching Creative Growth Group, Mr. Dietz was a consultant with Egon Zehnder International, a leading global executive search and human capital advisory firm where, in addition to his client development responsibilities, he assessed, selected and advised senior executives and Board members for some of the world’s most successful companies. In that role, Mr. Dietz also published a national recognized study entitled, Talent Management in Turbulent Times – which highlighted the value of executive coaching as a development and retention tool – and formed a peer advisory organization focused on developing rainmaker competence in professionals. He continues to lead a series of such groups under the brand, The Rainmaker Councilsm. He is also the founder of The Client Advisor Awards which honors professionalism in the relationships between professional advisors and their clients.
Prior to Egon Zehnder, Mr. Dietz helped to form, netWorth Partners, a Private Equity investment firm affiliated with Mellon Bank; as a venture partner with the fund, he served as CEO of one of its portfolio companies and successfully executed the company’s sale to a publicly traded entity. Previously, he was a founding member of BellSouth’s Internet service provider, BellSouth.net where he served as VP, Product Marketing and led the initial marketing launch of BellSouth’s DSL service. Mr. Dietz also has served as a marketer of advertising and market research services for leading national media companies such as Ziff-Davis and Cahners Publishing.
Mr. Dietz graduated from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in marketing. He received his Masters in Business Administration with honors from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business with a focus on services marketing. Mr. Dietz serves on several non-profit boards (for instance, The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia) and is a frequent speaker and contributing writer on marketing and management issues for local and national business publications. He is also the founder of Ellis Lane Press – a narrative non-fiction and business book publishing company – and author of the acclaimed book, The Last Folk Hero.
